The Recipients of the 35th PRAEMIUM IMPERIALE
On Tuesday, September 10, the names of the new Praemium Imperiale Laureates was announced in Tokyo, London, Paris, Rome, Berlin and New York.
The recipients are as follows:

The artists are recognized and awarded for their international achievements in the arts and their role in enriching the global community. Each laureate receives an honorarium of 15 million yen and a testimonial letter. Prince Hitachi, Honorary Patron of the Japan Art Association, will present a medal at the Awards Ceremony held in Tokyo on November 19, 2024.
The related events for your coverage are as follows: On November 18, at 13:30, there will be a joint press conference with the laureates and the International Advisors, followed by individual press meetings with each laureate. The Awards Ceremony will take place on November 19 at The Okura Tokyo. On November 20, at 16:00, Shigeru Ban will deliver a commemorative architectural lecture, and on November 21, at 16:00, Ang Lee will give an artist talk.
The Grant for Young Artists was announced at a press conference in Tokyo on September 10. The recipient of the 2024 Grant is the Komunitas Salihara Arts Center in Indonesia. At the press conference, the center received a grant of 5 million yen to support its efforts in promoting young artists.
